Petro-Canada Lubricants Inc. (PCLI) has today announced the launch of its synthetic DuraDrive Heavy-Duty (HD) Long Drain Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) – the first North American ATF approved by Voith Turbo Inc. for 108,000 miles extended drain service.

With the addition of this new product, PCLI now offers two Voith approved fluids for its DIWA transmissions – DuraDrive HD Long Drain ATF and DuraDrive HD Synthetic Blend ATF. Both are listed on the Voith Turbo’s approval fluid list for DIWA transmissions (US SB 013/118) in North America.

Conditions for this warranty extension are as follows:

Under this warranty program, when using an approved Petro-Canada Lubricants’ automatic transmission fluid, the Voith DIWA Automatic Transmission’s base warranty coverage is extended from 24 months/150,000 miles to 30 months/150,000 miles, depending on which is reached first. Use of the PCLI';s DuraDrive HD ATFs also allows Voith customers the option to purchase a 5-year/300,000-mile warranty with an exclusive rebate.*

DIWAGuard:

Customers buying newly produced buses with a new DIWA transmission now have the option to extend the transmission's Base Warranty Coverage Period from 24 months or 150 000 miles to 30 months or 150 000 miles, whichever comes first, on the condition that upon initial delivery of the transmission from the respective bus Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), the operator installs either PCLI DuraDrive HD Synthetic Blend ATF or DuraDrive HD Long Drain ATF in advance of the pre-delivery inspection and continues to operate the transmission during the Base Warranty Coverage Period using the specified PCLI DuraDrive Heavy Duty product.**

Voith also offers those customers buying newly produced buses with new DIWA transmissions, the option to purchase five year/300,000 mile 100 per cent P&L Warranty at a discount on the condition that, upon initial delivery of the transmission from the respective bus OEM, the operator installs either PCLI's DuraDrive HD Synthetic Blend ATF or DuraDrive HD Long Drain ATF in advance of the pre-delivery inspection and then continues to operate the transmission during the Warranty Period using the specified PCLI Fluid.**

Either PCLI DuraDrive HD Synthetic Blend ATF or DuraDrive HD Long Drain ATF can now be requested as an OEM fill option through Voith to enable simplified access to the extended warranty coverage program.

Conditions:

* All provisions for proper care and maintenance of the transmission as described in DIWA Service Schedule (G1734-.3E, G1942-.5) must be observed. Of particular note is the provision for scheduled oil analysis.

** Either PCLI DuraDrive HD Synthetic Blend ATF or DuraDrive HD Long Drain ATF must be used exclusively for the entire term of the warranty period.
